I thought the Adirondack furniture for kids was cute and a good price. The chair above is $13.60 and I haven’t seen the wooden that low.

“Here’s this guy, he’s selling chairs to these city people coming up in Westport at the very same time that there is this large movement of hundreds of people going to the Adirondacks for their health,” Gilborn says. This, he says, “opened up a whole market for convalescent furniture” that Bunnell was eager to exploit.
Thanks so much for the tutorial! I am so going to try this on m lawn chairs! I might even use the same colors as you did!

Durability - Because poly-wood is a derivative of plastics it does not have an issue with water damage like real wood furniture. It is not a porous material so it can withstand harsh weather conditions. Likewise, it is not susceptible to mold or mildew like wood and pests are not an issue. Wood-damaging pests like carpenter bees or termites don’t attack poly furniture.

Everything from the color to the timber cut grain wood feel can resemble a real wooden chair, perhaps the smell is different for those wanting to know. But the real winner for us somewhat lazy big guys is the no maintenance ever whatsoever appeal. Unlike traditional wooden Adirondacks, you wont need to sand, varnish or paint this chair ever again.
As for dimensions, can we just say this chair is huge and considerably easy to move around too. But I’ll fill you in on the important size measurements. Between the arms you get a generous 23 inches of space and for the actually seat its an extra wide and roomy 25″.
Choose Between Adirondack or Traditional Styling. Recycled plastic deck furniture is constructed in a very similar fashion as normal wood furniture. It is made from plastic boards that have been extruded to be dimensionally similar to dimension lumber. Each board is extruded from HDPE in the correct sizes with a wood grain texture on the surface. It is sawn and shaped to make the parts that fit perfectly together. Assembly is easy because parts fit tightly together like a puzzle (with instructions). This outdoor furniture is virtually maintenance free. The plastic is colored through out and is UV stabilized to never lose its color. The plastic lumber has no porosity so food stains are easily washed away. All of the fasteners are color coordinated poly carbonate coated steel. Therefore, the visible part of the fasteners will blend in with the furniture color but corrosion and rust spots will never be a problem. For superior consistency in our plastic lumber, we actually control the recycling process by buying the mixture of plastic refuse and separating the milk jugs from all of the rest of the plastic. We only use the milk jugs but sell the rest of the mixture to another processor. After confirming that we have only the HDPE plastic material, the raw plastic is washed and sifted to clean away all foreign debris. No sand, dirt, wood fibers, or other discordant riffraff is allowed. We produce only exceptional quality of Recycled Plastic Lumber. This ensures that our recycled plastic lumber has uniformly exceptional properties throughout.
